Christopher Reid aka adult performer Jack Venice received a life sentence for the rape of a Washington State University student. He will be eligible for parole in nine years.

One of his local media outlets acknowledged his conviction with the headline,”Cy Springs Grad Loses Job In Porn Industry“, and ended the article with,”Cy Springs represent!”.

In total, Reid was convicted of second-degree rape and three felony burglary charges. Washington state describes second-degree rape as,”when one engages in sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion “when the victim is incapable of consent by reason of being physically helpless or mentally incapacitated.” (link) The three burglary charges stem from Reid breaking into three different sorority houses with his accomplice on the night of the rape.

Reid’s accomplice testified on the stand that he witnessed Reid ’spooning’ the victim and that the opening of a condom wrapper ‘woke her up’. ‘Spooning’ is considered sexual contact in the state of Washington; there, sexual contact is defined as,” any touching of the sexual or other intimate parts of a person done for the purpose of gratifying sexual desire of either party or a third party.”

At the time of his arrest, Reid claimed to be on a scouting expedition for adult film company Shane’s World. The company has since distanced themselves from Reid’s claims. Reid has worked for the company many times (he appeared in titles such as Blazed and Confused 1, 2, & 3, plus College Invasion 8, Casey Parker Lost in Puerto Rico, Devon Does Baja, Kegger, Shane’s World 40: Scavenger Hunt 4). He also directed for the Shane’s World College Amateur Tour series for them. In the series, he tours various locales including college campuses in search of females who will have sex with him.

One civilian who encountered Reid on a Shane’s World shoot in Puerto Rico volunteered the following information on a popular crime blog:

I had the misfortune of meeting Jack Venice last here while he and his Shanesworld entourage were shooting scenes here in Puerto Rico. I had to ask him why he was filming three young women French-kissing each other in a restaurant. He acted all high and mighty and sarcastically stated they were “shooting a documentary.” Of course it was a few minutes later when I approached the apparent star of the film, Casey Parker, that she proudly declared the purpose of their visit and continued her lecherous behavior in front of the children and their unimpressed parents, who wasted no time calling for their bills.

Two other factors contributed to Reid’s harsh sentence; his victim was sleeping at the time the assault started which falls under Washington state definitions of mentally incapacitated and physically helpless (link).

While in jail, Reid gave a videotaped interview to the local news that did not help his case. Click here to watch or view below. In the video, he adamantly states that he does not need to rape women, because he gets paid to have sex with them everyday.

A comment on The Stranger (Seattle newspaper) from someone claiming to be Reid’s sister echoes the same sentiment.

‘Im his sister and he wouldn’t rape anyone, he can have anygirl he wants believe me all my friends want him. Like Randy says he gets paid very well for sleeping with them and doesn’t need to rape anyone… looks like another money hungry hoe to me. stupid bitch’

Another commenter claims to be a former roommate of Reid’s and states that Reid was devastated if his sexual advances towards women failed.

I used to live with Jack and I’m not surprised at all that he’s charged with rape. He’s super pushy when it comes to sex off camera and his ego gets really bruised when girls turn him down. He can’t stand it! And to reiterate, rape isn’t about sex its about power and believing you can control a girl. It didn’t matter that he was doing scenes every day, he still wanted almost every girl that walked by. The truth will come out eventually.

The entire comments section of the Stranger article buzzes with emotion from people with opinions on Reid’s arrest. (The Stranger is to Seattle what the LA Weekly is to Los Angeles; it is a major publication in that area.) Here are other memorable comments:

there are several witnesses that say that he did break in to the frat houses. People saw him there. Him and the Schott guy lied and said they were friends, but then they took beer out of a fridge at one of the frat houses, and they knew that he was a stranger. He also exposed himself in front of the same group. And, also, there was no intercourse. There were, however, fluids on scene. HIS fluids. That’s how they knew it was him. The girl was alone in the sorority guest room, asleep, and him and Schott went in there and assaulted her. If you read up on laws, sexual assault doesn’t take very much. You may think it’s petty, but it’s really not.

How can someone claimed that she has been rapped by Jack Venice!!!At most you get fucked by him and you should consider yourself lucky!!!!

This guy is screwed. I know a girl he assaulted during his little “College Amatuer Tour” in Texas that is going to be bringing a civil lawsuit and I’ve also heard from her that their is another girl that has popped up at some state school further down the coast. Turns out the girl at the state school is a state senator’s daughter and now he’s getting involved!!!

Reid’s story has been picked up by the AP wire and has made national headlines. If you watch this clip (click here if it doesn’t show up), you’ll hear the prosecuting attorney say that Reid introduced himself as ‘a porn star’ and that he was on a trip ‘to find women who wanted to have with me’. There’s no mention of Shane’s World, which was part of Reid’s original story regarding why he was visiting Pullman, WA.

WSU students that Reid had encountered on his Pullman trip were instrumental in helping police figure out the name of the then unknown assailant who had been inside the sorority house.  Two of them, Ryan Lantz and Branden Rainer, drove around town looking for Reid, questioned other students about the out of town visitor, and surfed Internet profiles for a photo and name to give to law enforcement. Kyle Schott, Reid’s partner in crime in the case, received a 13 month sentence and was also expelled from Washington State University, where he was a student. In April, Schott agreed to testify against Reid.  The WSU newspaper (called the Cougster) described Schott’s decision as, “non-shocking news of the day: Kyle Schott to testify against Reid“, and adds,”Based on reports of what happened and the backgrounds of the alleged perpetrators (WSU student v. porn star) it not surprising who got offered a deal.”

In another Cougster, the porn star is described as ‘eager to showoff’.

According to our sources who hung out with the two suspects for a little while Kyle Schott had just met Jack Venice. Venice was also quite eager to talk about his career and show off himself, literally taking out his penis to show how he made his money. He also offered $200 to do a porn film in our source’s house (he was apparently kicked out of the house shortly after showing off his member).

On The Men of Porn blog, Reid was interviewed June 2007 and stated that:

I’ve never had a serious girlfriend in my life and I have never been in love. Don’t plan on it anytime soon. I’m always on myspace and I am shooting a website for Shanesworld about big tits and I’m the only guy in every scene.

I just signed a year’s contract with Shanesworld and I will be directing movies for them. I’m working on my big tit website but we still don’t have a name for it. Open for suggestions though. Also, college amateur tour part 3 and 4 I’m shooting over the next few weeks.

I’ll bet the prosecution read that interview. It presents him as the polar opposite of the way he portrayed himself during the trial; then, he tried to come across as a monogamous man devoted to his girlfriend and her young child.

Perhaps, Reid was scouting Pullman for inclusion in his series of College Amateur Tour films. Here’s the trailer for a prior installment featuring Reid; overall, it is pretty incriminating.

There also other clips on the web showing him approaching unsuspecting women and trying to recruit them for porn, like the one below.

KREM, the local news channel, described the video as:

‘him approaching college women asking them very abruptly to be in his porn videos.’

Finally, there was no way for Reid to win this case (especially with the local media calling him ‘Porn star rape suspect‘ and ‘Porn gonzo sleaze bag‘). There is way too much stuff online that would lead to bias, not to mention the fact that his occupation was going come up during the trial. The real issue was how much time behind bars he was going to get and his lawyer must have been asleep at the wheel for him to get a life sentence.

Before his arrest is Washington state for rape, Jack Venice posted a few videos of himself recruiting talent to appear in his films on Youtube.

In this video, Jack spots a trim young woman walking along and slows down the car to introduce himself, by saying, ‘You may know me from the movie Sodomy 5…’. The young woman cringes and walks faster to get away. Jack is undeterred and the car speeds up to the rapidly walking target. Next, he asks her what her t-shirt says and the shirt logo says something like ‘I love bad words’. He get excited about this and tells her that she is perfect for his movie, because ,’You already have the slutty t-shirt.’ He then tells her that he is ‘going to bang some chicks out’ and she should ‘come along’. Youtube also has the actual local news report where Jack Venice (real name Chris Reid) is seen leaving the jail after his girlfriend posted a $20000 bail. The newscaster explains that Reid was in a hurry to leave, because he had to return to California to finish a movie.

Chris Reid is also the other half of Vivid Girl Hanna Hilton. Jack is not the father of Hanna’s young child.

The blogsphere does not take kindly to Venice’s antics. One blogger who covered the story wonders:

There are so many things wrong with this story. I don’t know where to begin. First off, why is a pornstar hanging around a sorority house? Is he trying to get laid? Doesn’t he have enough sex on his job? I mean he’s has it all the time. Why go to a sorority house and try to pick girls there? I just don’t understand it.
