The 2006 FOXE Awards were held in Inglewood on Sunday night at the Mayfair Ballroom. Randy Spears, Tera Patrick, and Lexington Steele were retired from future FOXE Awards contention due to having already won three awards each.
The night also marked the resurfacing of 70s porn idol, Serena, and more stangely, the surprise appearance of mid 90s busty vixen, Tianna Taylor, who interrupted the onstage speeches of Christy Canyon, Ron Jeremy, and Lexington Steele, whom she mistook for Sean Michaels. This case of mistaken ID led to a comment from Steele about watching the latest adult videos to stay current with talent names and a sarcastic reply from Taylor that she,"was up there ten years ago, honey!".
Tera Patrick continued to alienate and burn her bridges by refusing to pause briefly for photographs upon entering the Mayfair Ballroom, scurrying off to a curtained off portion of the press room set aside exclusively for photos, having a large bodyguard bully and give attitude plus the run around to press photographers trying to access the area besides the handful Queen Tera decided to allow photograph her. If you don't recall, Tera Patrick had photographers banned from her party at Tao in Las Vegas during the AVN show.
Other more gracious adult personalities present were Jacklyn Lick, Cara Lott, Serena, Flower Tucci, Cousin Stevie, Christy Canyon, Felix Vicious. Alicia Del Rio, Gianna Lynn, Sunny Lane, Devyn Devine, Erica Lockett, Lori Lust, Rachael Rains, Sierra Sinn, Miss Meadow, Sweet Bethany, Bill Margold, Randy West, and Ron Jeremy.
Christy Canyon was broasted at the event and fans and her fellow adult co-stars, such as Alicia Del Rio and Ron Jeremy, paid tribute to the legend. Christy was gifted with flowers, photos, and other gifts from fans. Alicia Del Rio sat on Christy's lap and thanked her for encouraging her to pursue a career in adult entertainment, in a somewhat rambling speech that was initially disrupted by Tianna Taylor. Alicia ended her speech by asking Christy for a french kiss, which she politely declined explaining that she had a cold. Ron Jeremy, the first male performer to ever work with Christy on film, read a poem to Christy in which he paid tribute to her double D cup breasts.
The evening was interspersed with live performances from Devyn Devine, Erica Lockett, Sweet Bethany, Tina Toy, and Sunny Lane.
