Update: The true motives of the XXX Church are revealed at the end of this article. Throughout the article, I express my skepticism at the XXX Church 'helping' Trinity James leave the adult industry. On January 14, 2006, SimplyJimmyD.com revealed the true relationship bewteeen the XXXChurch and Trinity James.

Adult performer, Trinity James, has decided to leave the porn industry with the assistance of the XXXChurch, a 'Christian' organization run by two gentlemen named Mike and Craig committed to helping performers 'escape' the porn industry. The group, in its efforts to raise money to help Trinity James disentangle herself from the adult industry, erroneously portrayed her as a single mother. Trinity James is, in fact, married.

"I am completly supportive of this and think it is wonderful. I do though have some questions. What part in this is her husband playing? Doesnt he have a job and why couldnt he support her until she has her schooling done? I was under the impression that she was a single mom. I dont know if this was done on purpose or not, but I know Im not alone in thinking that.," wrote one reader.

When porn gossip motor mouth Mike South left a blog comment stating that a source told him that Trinity was dating either Mike or Craig (the Godly zealots who run XXXChurch), Josh Alden, Trinity's husband commented back with the following.

"Well Mr. South I'm Trinity's Husband feel free to email me and ill give you all the proof you want of that cause your "sources" are wrong. also goto the link for her blog and you will see a picture of all of us im the guy with the hat turned backwards and the tattoos so gossip all you want i still have my industry connection than were at our wedding to attest to the fact we are married and neither Craig or Mike have any kind of relationship other than what they are doing to help us.", wrote Josh.

The blonde woman in the photo above is Shelley Lubben, a former porn actress who performed in the early 90s under the name Roxy. She is currently a traveling religious evangelist. She shares her personal story about her journey through prostitution, exotic dancing, porn movies, alcoholism, drug abuse, and finally salvation through the religion. A few months ago, she contacted LukeIsBack.com and was featured on his site. Famewhore! Hence, its not surprising that she'd attach herself to this silly farce. Any publicity is good publicity, right Shelley?

Is Trinity truly penniless and in need of money? I doubt it based on her written statements.

"This has been an on going struggle to let Craig and Mike help cause at times they don't understand that yes I hate my job but I would also hate working fast food so why work for min wage when I can make $3000-$5000 a week at a brothel. that was about 3 months ago and I've reached a point where I've only been making $400-$1000 a week which granted it still more than a lot of people make and it's not the best way to support myself but it has worked up till now.," she writes on the XXX Church blog. I believe that Trinity James is being used by the XXXChurch for publicity. Craig Gross and Mike Foster (the XXXChurch founders and operators) appeared with her on a religious show called 'Life Today'. Not to be modest about their accomplishment, they've digitized the segment so that you can watch it on your computer. How convenient, click here. Craig Gross also used the television appearance to plug his book, 'The Gutter'. Take a look at the XXXChurch blog and look up at the dynamic duo at the top of the page. They are styled up as if they were two Hollywood hipsters. Craig Gross and Mike Foster are aiming for the big time of the 'Christian' industry which offers speaking engagements, hosting your own tv show, book deals, and serious money in one's bank account. To me, they are no better than the people they are offering to help adult performers escape.

Did Craig and Mike prey on an emotionally fragile person with little self confidence to use her for publicity? Yes, I believe they did. Look below at another comment left by Trinity James.

"I can admit at times in the beginning it was a confidence boost to have all these guys lined up to get my autograph but now anytime I was at the ranch and wasn't making the money I expected I felt there was something wrong with me or my looks so that is one thing that has weighed heavily on my decision to get out before it hurt my self image anymore.," writes Trinity in another comment post. Being in the porn industry is not the source of Trinity's problems. Its her relationships with men, which she revealed, left her completely broke, topped with growing up with a neglectful mother, plus self esteem issues that are the true issues she needs to deal with. Why not get her counseling for those problems rather encouraging her to move to a different state. Her problems will travel with her.

One half of the XXXChurch, Craig Gross, fends off questions about why they are raising so much money for Trinity, when she's already made a large amount of money working in pornography and prostitution for the past four years, by quoting erroneous figures for what female performers are paid in the industry.

The XXXChurch is typical of the Christian right in this country because of the way facts are distorted to suit their own needs (in this case, they are trying to sell a book!!). I encourage porn fans to visit the XXX Church booth at the upcoming AVN convention and tell them what you think of their organization.

Will Trinity James stay out of the adult world? I have no idea, but she did post the following on a porn fan message board in September 2005.

"Of course I am still working in the biz where else can I get my ass pounded like I do working in the industry..I just have been going thruogh alot and my phone number is changed but now am semi back to normal and will start getting back into things...but I am still shooting.," said Trinity.

In addition, one industry insider saw her at Jim South's office asking for working and failing miserably just a few weeks ago. Trinity had gained weight and was never considered to be a 10 in the looks department. So is Trinity quiting the adult business or did it already quit her?

I hope that Trinity is able to realize that it is her inner turmoil that is causing her pain and that no amount of relocating can quiet it until she seeks real professional psychological help.

I probly should write this up on my own site since I wrote about this--in vague terms--not too long ago. But I don't feel like putting out the effort right now. With that said, let me also state, for the record, that I don't know Mary Carey and I'm not even sure I've ever met her. I have no beef with her and, in fact, I admire the way she's made herself into something of a minor household name. But... and this is a big BUT, her sincerity leaves a little to be desired.

So, out of the blue, Mary is suddenly a Christian (for two weeks) and the deal with VH1 is made.
